چکیده
Treatment Expectations For maximum benefit of NGVB per application and compliance for longterm treatment, the whitening tray should be worn at night. However, a minimum of 2 to 4 hours daily is the second option because the material is active for 4 to 10 hours.2 Less than 2 hours wastes product and may extend treatment. The length of treatment varies from patient to patient. The average is 2 to 6 weeks, although it could be shorter. Nine out of ten patients achieve successful lightening. Typically, the teeth lighten to a certain shade and then plateau. There is an initial color relapse upon completion because the residual peroxide in the tooth changes the optical qualities. Dentists should wait 2 weeks on color stability for any restorative work and for bond strengths to achieve their maximum strength before attempting bonded composite restoration.3 The duration of color stability without retreatment is generally 1 to 3 years, although it could be permanent. When evaluating the efficacy of NGVB after 6 weeks of treatment, discoloration caused by aging, smoking, inherent staining, brown spots, or single dark teeth were successfully removed in 97% of the situations.4 At a follow-up of 13 to 25 months (average 18 months), 74% of the patients had no noticeable change without retreatment. At 31 to 42 months (average 38.5 months), 62% reported no noticeable change without retreatment. And at 75 to 89 months (average 82 months), 35% reported no noticeable change from the time of treatment.

متن کاملCorrelations between periparturient serum concentrations of non-esterified fatty acids, beta-hydroxybutyric acid, bilirubin, and urea and the occurrence of clinical and subclinical postpartum bovine endometritis
BACKGROUND Postpartum endometritis in cattle is a multifactorial disease with high economic impact. Both, clinical endometritis (CE) and subclinical endometritis (SCE) result in decreased reproductive performance. Results from in vitro studies led to the implication that non-esterified fatty acids (NEFA), beta-hydroxybutyric acid (BHBA), bilirubin, and urea could be used as predictors for endom...
متن کاملA Sharp Bound on the Size of a Connected Matroid
This paper proves that a connected matroid M in which a largest circuit and a largest cocircuit have c and c∗ elements, respectively, has at most 1 2 cc∗ elements. It is also shown that if e is an element of M and ce and ce are the sizes of a largest circuit containing e and a largest cocircuit containing e, then |E(M)| ≤ (ce−1)(ce−1)+1. Both these bounds are sharp and the first is proved using...
متن کاملEconomic evaluation of contrast-enhanced liver MRI in the characterisation of suspected liver lesions
Objectives To determine the cost effectiveness of contrast enhanced (CE) liver magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) compared to multi-phase computed tomography (CT) scan to characterise suspected liver lesions in patients with known extra-hepatic cancer. Methods A decision analytic economic model was built to link diagnostic accuracy to health outcomes in patients with colorectal carcinoma. The mod...
